Walmart is the king of the retail market that introduced several new technologies to the industry for developing more efficient operations. The organization created RetailLink, an internet-based service for its suppliers, in 2013 and this tool would help them to get an access of the information using the network. Walmart also introduced RFID in the retail market as the replacement of the barcode. Walmart did it when no one except the tech industry, was known to this technology. Frankly, it seems the market was not ready to adapt this technology as the network and the data analytics are not advanced enough (Malone, 2012).
